From the mind of a child

Monday before we broke the news to our kids Elissa was helping the boys to get their homework done. This can be a daunting task, with math, spelling, reading, and miscellaneous projects. While working with John and Ron she looked at Joshua (our 7 year old) who was working diligently on a project. It became quickly apparent this was not a school project. When she questioned him what he was up to he showed her a collection box. He took a juice box and taped it all up except for a slot in the top. He made a sign for the front that said "donete for etheopue please!" He drew a picture of a mom with her adopted child running to give her a hug. He wanted to go door to door and collect money for the AHOPE orphanage because they need medicine for their sick kids. (a link is available for AHOPE in the right column)
Elissa let Josh (accompanied by Zoe our oldest) go around and ask for donations. Zoe had some flyer's she used at school from a sock and underwear drive she had done and explained what Josh was doing. Josh collected $26.00!
